Virtual Reality Experience Design Adaptation (2018)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: My firm previously designed the wearable gear and customer suit-up process for our client that hosed permanent-installation 4-D virtual reality experiences intended for ages 12 and up. We were asked to understand what design modifications would be necessary to allow children to participate at a world-renowned theme park. We also had to understand what changes would be necessary to significantly increase throughput as the number of customers would be exponentially greater. My team conducted extensive market research and provided a framework to enable product and experience design.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: While touring various industrial facilities to better understand my market as a Product Manager, I observed an unmet need. In loud environments, personnel often has to choose between effective communication and protecting their hearing. I secured a budget for a resultant R&D effort which resulted in a patentable communcation device and protocol that simulates communication in normal noise conditions. I developed product requirements and manageed an outside development firm through ideation, concept feasibility, and market testing. I wrote a business plan and pitched the C-suite for funding to start up a new business centered around the novel new product.

Next Generation Nurse Call Workflow Terminal (2016)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Led stakeholder reserach for a prominent nurse call system OEM struggling to create product requirements for their Next Generation design. My team did extensive research with patients and hospital staff, leadership, and purchasing agents. After synthesing the research, we developed a stakeholder needs framework that the OEM used to evaluate various compromises that arose throughout product development.

Regenerative Air Sweeper Market Analysis (2016)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: I was selected as one of four individuals corporate-wide to participate in a special innovation project. The objective of the team was to understand why Elgin's market share in the regenerative air sweeper segment was not meeting expectations. I planned/conducted stakeholder research, led research synthesis, and generated the aspirational product positioning framework. Research efforts drove a product redesign that led to a 120% increase in unit sales and a 25% market share gain within three years post-launch.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: I assessed market needs and gauged acceptance for various technology integration concepts intended to increase an officer's situational awareness while sitting in their vehicle. I planned and conducted stakeholder research to understand the market opportunity. I synthesized the research, generated a product positionsing framework, and wrote a business plan for the Perimeter Breach Warning product. I also planned and conducted pilot testing and provided product training for pilot testers.
